North Coast Slam Battle 2009

On Friday, March 27, poetry slam teams from Minneapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, and St. Paul converged on Eau Claire for the (V1-sponsored) North Coast Slam Battle. Eau Claire served as neutral territory for a qualifying slam – the top teams earning a spot at the 2009 National Poetry Slam in West Palm Beach, Florida. Milwaukee took first place, St. Paul took second, Minneapolis took third, and Madison fourth. Local poet Eric Rasmussen helped to open the show.
