Confronting the ‘Forever Chemical’: Community Responses to PFAS Contamination in the Upper Midwest

PFAS have been used for decades in cookware, fabric treatments and fire-fighting foams. They are linked to groundwater contamination and adverse human health effects. Thomas Person, UW-Stout Anthropology Professor, has traced community responses to PFAS in Wisconsin and two neighboring states and presents an engaging discourse on his findings.
