Northern Wisconsin State Fair

Annual fair with food vendors, carnival, livestock exhibitions, crafts, homemaking and educational exhibits, and outstanding 4-H displays. More than a mile of midway thrills, great food stands, and free grandstand entertainment. Music events are at 8pm each day and require separate admission.

U.S. National Kubb Championship

Watch the best Kubb Player from around the country, and world, compete in the U.S. National championship. On Friday, kids can try their hand at Kubb, and attendees can see the 1v1 World Championships. On Saturday, the playoffs begin, and on Sunday, the final competition throws down at the Eau Claire Soccer Park.

Babysitter Training

Prepares students in grades 6-8 safety skills for when they are home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who is choking and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather. Please bring a bag lunch.

Observing The Night Sky With The Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society

Members of the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society sponsor public observing sessions on clear Saturdays May though October (except 8/6/16). Public observing starts about an hour after sunset for about two hours. Come out and enjoy a view of the night sky not possible from the city.
