Once again a reserved, bearded young man residing in a small Chippewa Valley town does the best job of bringing the spotlight to our area —  except this year it’s a different musician. Chris Kroeze’s run all the way to runner-up on The Voice became a phenomenon in western Wisconsin and earned him the title of Best Local Celebrity, and we now get to watch him build his career further into 2019 and beyond. The man at Wagner’s Lanes —  Jake Jensen —  is almost The Man in this category, coming in second, while seven-time champ Justin Vernon is at third. — Luc Anthony
