ALVIN! ALVIN! ALLLL-VVVIN!!! The theme for Ski Sprites Water Skiing Club’s 2024 Season will be The Chipmunks: Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, who will be found on the water with The Chipettes. Dave and Ivy, the managers of the Chipmunks and Chipettes, will be off stage watching all the fun.

The season will kick off on Memorial Day Weekend at Altoona Beach. The first show will be 6:30pm on Sunday, May 26, followed by the Memorial Day show at 3pm Monday, May 27. New this year is the club’s brand new triple rig boat, which can pull up to 20 skiers at one time.

The 7th annual Cancer Support Show at 6:30pm on Sunday, June 23, will focus on ovarian cancer this year with proceeds going to Home 4 Healing to benefit a local family in need. While shows are held Sunday and Wednesday evenings on Lake Altoona, two shows this summer will be on the Chippewa River in front of the Lake Hallie Sportsman’s Club and River Jams: 6:30pm Thursday, June 13, and 6:30pm Thursday, Aug. 15. Additionally, the club’s Adaptive Ski Clinic will be on Saturday, June 15, and its Learn to Ski Clinic will be on Sunday, June 16.
