SUMMER'S IN FULL BLOOM. Farmer's markets – including this one in Menomonie – are coming back, and here's a list of where and when they are.

The only good reason to wake up early on summer weekends is to go to a farmers market. Whether you’re looking for flowers, fresh fruits, veggies, locally sourced food, or just some cool local sights, farmers markets are hard to beat when it comes to summer activities. Here are some of the markets you can enjoy this summer in the Valley.

Eau Claire Downtown Farmers Market

This is a local favorite, with live music, fresh produce, food trucks, and local vendors, how could it not be? This market runs from 7:30-1 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as 12-5 pm on Thursdays from June to October. Conveniently located in Phoenix Park, it’s also a great place to walk to and from and get those daily steps in. Learn more at ecdowntownfarmersmarket.com.

Festival Foods Farmers Market

Another great Eau Claire farmers market is located in the parking lot of Festival Foods on Mall Drive. Here you can purchase baked goods, meats, fruits, veggies, local arts and crafts, and even pet food. This market is on Sundays from 8am-2pm, which means you can do a farmers market run on Saturday and Sunday in Eau Claire.

Menomonie Farmers Market

This fun farmers market is located in Wilson Park from 10am-6pm on Wednesdays and 8am-1pm on Saturdays. This market welcomes users of EBT tokens, which allow people with any economic background to pick out fresh produce. You can ask about the EBT token system at the Market Manager’s Booth. You can find baked goods, meat, eggs, honey, jams, and other fresh produce at the Menomonie Farmers Market. Learn more at menomoniefam.org.

Chippewa Falls Farmers Market

The Chippewa Falls Farmers Market is on Thursdays from noon-6pm in Allen Park. Find your locally grown fruits and veggies, flowers, salsas, jams, and more at this market. Learn more at chippewafallsmainst.org.
