Take the Legacy Home
local business offer pop-up shopping
Sweet Legacy Vintage, a bridal and event venue decor rental business in Eau Claire, is expanding and preparing to launch its newest project: The Legacy Market. Owner Tammy Hurt and her daughters, Molly and Sarah, have planned this pop-up shopping experience to offer vintage and consignment furniture, home decor, wedding and event details, and more from as close as Eau Claire or as far away as Italy.
“It’s going to be a shopping extravaganza. When you come in here, there are going to be things hanging from the ceiling ... ” – Tammy Hurt, Sweet Legacy Vintage
The first market will take place May 16-20 at their location in the Pinehurst Shopping Center, 3029 N. Hastings Way. The hosts will serve up coffee and baked goodies in Alta Viola’s, their private event space, while guests peruse the selection of antiques, farmhouse decor, and accessories.
“It’s going to be a shopping extravaganza,” Tammy said. “When you come in here, there are going to be things hanging from the ceiling. … It will be put together so that hopefully we will give people ideas about how to use this stuff.” The women will offer items from every era, a dedicated section chock-full of bridal decorations and accessories, and a wealth of creativity to share with shoppers about ways they can produce beautiful spaces.
“Every sale, every pop-up is going to be different, because we’ll have new vendors bring in new, different things,” Sarah said. With the excitement Tammy and her daughters have for bringing in new items, they are certain marketgoers won’t see the same items twice.
Vendors will feature fine jewelry from the Twin Cities area and furniture from Italy curated by the owners of Marigold Café.
“It’s local vendors, it’s all small business, and it should be a fun time,” Tammy said.
