Local Kids’ Cookie Recipes

We asked area third graders what they’d put in their cookies.

LOCUST LANE ELEMENTARY

I would put baby powder, chicken feathers, and pizza, and fire, water and ice, and lava in my cookies. – Sunil, Locust Lane Elementary

If I was going to make a cookie it would have chocolate chips in it. I would put a jellyfish in it. I would put a computer in it. That would be yummy. Munch munch munch. – Jordyn, Locust Lane Elementary

If I could make my own cookies I would put egg and ice cream, chocolate chips, M and M’s, and milk, and then they would taste like licorice. – Dalton, Locust Lane Elementary

First I would take some sugar and spice and stir them all up. Next, just for color, I’ll put in some food coloring. A few chocolate chips. Last of all, put in the over for 24 hours. They might be a little burnt, but that’s all right. – Evelyn, Locust Lane Elementary

When I made my first cookie I put in flower, cookie dough, chocolate chips, and sugar. Then I started to bake it when it was finished my mom said that something smelt bad. I said it’s not my cookie! My mom looked at me. She took the cookie and ate it. She said that it was the best cookie she ever had! – Megan, Locust Lane Elementary

You put a lot of chocolate in them, and peanut butter in the cookies, and put M and M, and then you put them in the over and when they are done you can eat them up. – Kassandra, Locust Lane Elementary

If I could make the cookies I would put candy in the cookies and ice cream and I would like to put some marshmallows in it too and I would make a lot of cookies and I would eat all of them! – Nick, Locust Lane Elementary

You would need cookie dough and chocolate chips. Then you need to bake the cookies. Then you eat the cookies. Crunch, mmmmm, the cookies are good. – Kristina Krueger, Locust Lane Elementary

I think you NEED cookie dough! It’s the best part because it tastes great and you can have it for a snack without baking it. You also need chocolate chips!! Bake it for a half an hour and ta-da! – Eliot Van Glunsven, Locust Lane Elementary

You need ¼ cup milk and three eggs. One cup of water. If you want M and M’s, you can put it in. If you like chocolate, you can put it in, too. Also you need sugar to go with it, too. You need 1/3 cup of cream to make it good and sweet! If you want more you need ¾ cup of milk and 9 eggs, 4 cups of water. Put in more M and M’s and more sugar. LAKESHORE ELEMENTARY

To make Spider Cookies you need 4 Twizzlers, 4 dried noodles, 2 Oreos, 2 red hots, and hands. Take one Oreo, open it, and put the Twizzlers in so they are hanging out. Put it back together then take the other cookie and put them together and put 2 dried noodles in front and put 2 in the back. For the last, put two red hots for eyes. – Maddison Bova, Lakeshore Elementary

To make Peanut Butter Cookies you need one cup peanut butter, one cup sugar, one teaspoon vanilla, one cup brown sugar, a bowl, oven, pan, and something to mix with. First mix all the ingredients together then make balls out of the dough and put them apart on the pan. Bake for one hour and check them to see if they’re done. If not bake them 10 more minutes and let them cool. Enjoy. – Emma Knutson, Lakeshore Elementary

To make Chocolate Cookies you need two tablespoons of chocolate powder, dough, sprinkles, 4 eggs, cookie cutters, ½ cup water, cookie sheet, bowl, and a timer. Add eggs, dough, water, and powder to bowl, stir it and cook til gold then eat! – Keyaira MacAllister, Lakeshore Elementary

To make Spider Cookies you need 2 Oreos, 5 red hots, 4 likerish, hands, and knife. Pull one cookie in half and cut the likerishes in half. Put the 8 pieces on the half cookie. Put the red hots on top. Put a full cookie behind. – Lincoln Gilbertson, Lakeshore Elementary

To make Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies you need chocolate chips, 3 eggs, ¼ tablespoon of sugar, half stick of butter, ¼ tablespoon flour, ¼ cup veggie oil, half cup milk, mixing bowl, pan, mixer, and spoon. Set oven to 450. Put all ingredients in bowl and mix. Scoop out the dough and place on pan. Cook for 30 minutes. – Leighton Bucher, Lakeshore Elementary

To make Cookies you need eggs, dough, sugar, flour, chocolate chips, butter, mixer, and bowl. Put in over for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. – Tucker Dillon, Lakeshore Elementary

LONGFELLOW ELEMENTARY

The ingredients I need to make chocolate chip cookies are butter, sprinkle, and chocolate. You will need two inches of butter. You will also need five colored sprinkles. The last ingredients is chocolate. Mix all ingredients together, then cut the cookies with a cookie cutter. Last you need to put cookies in a very hot oven for 36 seconds. Wear a glove to take them out, then you eat them. – Titania Hennes, Longfellow Elementary

If I were to make cookies I would need sugar, dough, brown sugar, chocolate chips, butter, and a little bit of milk and eggs, and put the cookies on a tray and put the tray in the oven, and the oven has to be 80 degrees. You rock, editor. – Alexandra Fischer, Longfellow Elementary

ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY

The ingredients for chocolate chip cookies are: flour, milk, chocolate chips, eggs, and sugar. It’s the only cookie I eat. – Emily L., Roosevelt Elementary

Cooky ingredients: dough, flower, Reese’s, sugar, and cinnamon, and chocolate chips and finally, white chocolate chips, and frosting. – Mackenzie L., Roosevelt Elementary

Skeleton cookies: two cups flower, two eggs, with white chocolate for frosting. – Danielle B., Roosevelt Elementary

Flour, sugar, milk, chocolate chips, vanilla. Then put them in the oven. – Megan, Roosevelt Elementary

You get some dough to use for the cookies. The pour some sugar into a bowl. Next you cut some pieces out and and roll them into balls. Then roll the dough balls in the sugar. Finally squish them a little then put them in the oven and get ready to chow down. – Ben Phillips, Roosevelt Elementary
