Let's take a closer look at visual art from four Chippewa Valley creatives in "Fight Flight Fawn or Freeze," shown on Oct. 10 at The Brewing Projekt (1807 N Oxford Ave., Eau Claire). Organized by Eric Lee, the event brought together four distinct Chippewa Valley artists for a collaborative showcase.

Lee's own dimensional art pieces captured key attention for many attendees; his multi-panel project "Prefiguration" featured a central focal point with hundreds of matchsticks arranged in the shape of the Sun and lit prior to the show at home earlier this summer.

The exhibition also highlighted a rich variety of styles across medium and form, including portraits by Emily Hartman, ceramic pottery by Dan Ingersoll, and illustrations by Benjamin Hinz.
