The Eau Claire Marathon has grown beyond being an annual local favorite into a nationally-recognized event – and Boston Marathon qualifier. Its 18th annual race weekend, held this past May 2-3, saw a record-breaking number of sign-ups, welcoming roughly 6,000 people to the starts of downtown Eau Claire. 

With a slew of races over the two-day event – both for youths and adults – runners could run solo (5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon) or as part of a multi-person marathon relay (and, for walkers, the 5K and Half Marathon Competitive Walk). 

Just one day before the record-breaking 2026 event, the Eau Claire Marathon learned and announced it had been voted the top half marathon event in the state by RaceRaves. That's a pretty great note to kickoff an event, eh?
