UW-Eau Claire's Ojibwe Ballroom was host to the inaugural Asia Night Market event from 5-7pm on Tuesday, April 21, welcoming students in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
The first-time event, organized by the Multicultural Student Services team, offered a pop-up market – featuring familiar local businesses and vendors including Sweet Boba House, Thai Orchid Restaurant, Vintage Vault and The Flower Gatherer, among others – with clothing and cultural crafts, jewelry, food and more.
For the remainder of AAPI Heritage Month, local celebratory happenings include the fourth annual Hmoob Heritage Month Gala at The Lismore Hotel on April 25 and the on-campus event, Indigo Processing and Batik, on April 28.
