Donuts awaited all 750 participants of this year's "xox-Eau" Valentine's Day race, hosted by the Eau Claire Marathon (ECM) on Saturday, Feb. 14. The fun run is part of the local organization's 5K race series, which also features the "ho-hEAU-ho," "hall-EAU-ween" and other holiday-tied races.

Though there are no official finish times taken for the 5K race series, participants were able to mark each completed mile with donuts. Yep, at every mile, runners could snag a Holy Donuts treat to keep their energy up!

According to a recent media release, this year's event was "one of the fastest sell-outs in (ECM) event history," and is the org's only fun run ahead of the official ECM race weekend, slated for May 2-3.
