Chippewa Falls' newest – and largest – museum, the Chippewa Area History Center (12 Bridgewater Ave.), held a free-to-attend interactive wartime exhibit throughout its grounds over Memorial Day weekend. The three-story center, which officially opened to the public after years of construction efforts in 2023, invited all to its 'A Call to Arms' event on May 24.
The center transformed several areas to bring history to life, utilizing authentic uniforms, vehicles, and more, with immersive WWII reenactments featuring trained reenactors. The event – which began at 11am and ended at 5pm – also featured a presentation of Chippewa County and WWII history, shared Chippewa Area History Center Director, Jarrod Showalter.
