The 2025 Eau Claire Marathon race weekend — the Chippewa Valley’s hometown race and Boston Marathon qualifier — has come and gone, leaving behind memories of another family-friendly event and record-breaking participation.

The race weekend began with a 5k and 10k marathon on Saturday; the four-person marathon relay, half marathon, and full 26.2-mile marathon were held on Sunday.

The complete marathon course began on the Madison Street bridge along Phoenix Park (330 Riverfront Terrace, Eau Claire), weaving through the streets of Eau Claire, crossing the finish line on Graham Avenue alongside the Pablo Center at the Confluence (128 Graham Ave., Eau Claire).

“The words we all look forward to: welcome home, runners!” the Eau Claire Marathon website reads. “We moved our finish line into the heart of downtown and loved the urban feel where old downtown meets new downtown.”

In a recent news release, Adam Ludwig, director of the marathon and the Blugold Mile, stated involvement from community members and out-of-state runners was at an all time high this year. Over 5,000 participants across Saturday and Sunday’s running events registered and participated in the marathon weekend.

To celebrate the weekend’s completion, marathon participants — with family and friends — also enjoyed the annual Barstow Block Party at the corner of North Barstow Street and the Eau Claire River.

Congratulations to all racers who participated in this year’s event!

Weekend results, with individual race times, are available to view online through the Eau Claire Marathon website.
