The fungi-curious joined mycologist Tavis Lynch and the Chippewa Falls Public Library out in Kemper’s Woods in Lake Hallie on Saturday, Oct. 5, for the Family Fungi Foray event. Folks were invited on a perusal of the woods to see what kinds of fungi could be found right in their backyards. The free event was part of the pre-festival event lineup for this year’s Wisconsin Science Festival, happening Oct. 14-20.
