The Sonnentag Center, UW-Eau Claire's massive new venue along Menomonie St., is hosting a full week of events from Sept. 9-14 in celebration of its official grand opening. After hosting neighborhood and student open houses with student activities plus its first live entertainment with comedian Brian Regan at the start of the week, Sonnentag hosted a morning 9/11 recognition event. From 8:30-10am on Wednesday, Sept. 11, first responders were honored and a 21-gun salute was held, with a community open house following later on in the day.
