River Prairie Festival returned to Altoona on Saturday, May 11, offering live music and entertainment, an artists market, food trucks and other local vendors, a scavenger hunt, a cribbage tournament, and much more! Held over Mother’s Day weekend, River Prairie Festival also offered a plant potting and planting in celebration.

The annual event was also the backdrop for the Champion of the Arts Award, an accolade recognizing those who have made significant contributions to the cultural landscape of the community. Volume One and our co-founder Nick Meyer were humbled to receive this honor at the afternoon ceremony – and laughed as the wrestling-style champion belt was placed on Nick (who is a person of many talents, although none of them are wrestling).
