Beginning on April 11, the lights on and around the Pablo Center at the Confluence in downtown Eau Claire have shone blue in honor of workers in health care and other essential fields during the coronavirus pandemic. The international #LightItBlue effort has spread to businesses, venues, stadiums, and other locations around the world. On Thursdays, other downtown Eau Claire landmarks, including Phoenix Park Bridge, Haymarket Plaza, Haymarket Landing Bridge, Royal Credit Union, and City Hall, are also blue. Likewise, businesses and homes around Chippewa Falls have turned blue in recent weeks. Volume One photographer Andrea Paulseth offers this blue view of downtown Eau Claire.
