The Shafers @The Volume One Gallery

Painting outdoors has led Anders Shafer to use his brush more loosely. In this show he combines this interest in nature with ideas from the imagination often about history, while retaining his well-known sequential format. This collection of paintings by Barbara Shafer depicts her continued work in modern dance and the use of the figure to sculpturally carve the space of an environment. The reception took place on Friday, Jan 10 at the Volume One Gallery.
