Artist Reception: John Lawler & Aren Lawler

This exhibit brings together the father and son art of John Lawler and Aren Lawler, both sculptors. John Lawler creates found object sculptures that reference his personal history either abstractly or through narratives. Aren Lawler aims for under appreciated, unusual and rusty cast-away objects that hint at false memories and nostalgia for a history which never happened. The opening reception (shown here) was on Thursday, October 19 at the Janet Carson Gallery. The show runs until November 29.
