On Tuesday, Dec. 2, Lakeshore Elementary in Eau Claire held the first opening reception in its new student art gallery, located right in the front lobby. (The gallery had previously been housed in a different part of the school.) The reception showcased the art of two first grade classes. Entitled Designs, the works were created with tempera paint, oil crayons, markers, and glitter paint. The artists talked about their art, certificates were given, and refreshments were served. This is actually Lakeshore’s ninth year of art shows and receptions.
