annual summer events at Riverfront Park return

Ready, set go to Chippewa Falls this summer for the return of their summer music performances and outdoor movie screenings in Riverfront Park. All events will be free and open to the public.
Bring a blanket (and maybe some cushy pillows and jammie pants!) for outdoor movie screenings, which will take place on July 24 (The Trolls World Tour), Aug. 7 (The Mighty Ducks), and Sept. 11 (TBD).
Listen to the Mark Croft Band on July 18, the Stefan Geisinger Band on July 25, The JFT Party Band on Aug. 1, the Bear Creek Band on Aug. 8, Home Grown Tomatoes on Aug. 15, Rattle Can Red on Aug. 22, and the Tommy Bentz Band on Aug. 29.
“We all miss being able to get outside and enjoy live events,” said Chippewa Falls City Planner Brad Hentschel. “Everything was canceled last year – and rightfully so – but I think we’re in a position where we can do this safely, competently and allow for people to be in groups and (to enjoy) entertainment again. It’ll help bring people downtown, who maybe haven’t been in the area for quite a while. It will help us get that much closer to a pre-pandemic normal.”
Remember to follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines and mask up if you’re unvaccinated! Lear more about what’s planned this summer at Riverfront Park at facebook.com/atthechippewariverfront.
