Tesla Motors – the electric car company that took the auto world by storm behind leader Elan Musk – is starting to creep into Eau Claire. Tesla has installed new Supercharger stations off I-94, behind Fired Up Pizza, Mac Man, Sports Clips, and Noodles & Co. on Keystone Crossing. The chargers are part of a push into Wisconsin where the California-based company has installed five new stations along I-94, including in Mauston and Madison. The Superchargers can charge a Tesla fully in 20-40 minutes, which provides 230-300 miles of driving. While we haven’t seen too many of the cars around town, with the new chargers they might be right around the corner.
