Eau Claire Parks now part of the 1%
Eau Claire Parks, being one of two Wisconsin agencies to receive accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), received national recognition for meeting 144 diverse requirements. These standards include park maintenance and preservation of service and management, as well as the promotion of superior programs. And, Eau Claire Parks did it, due in no small part to its collection of programs catered and offered to all ages.
Not only does this enhance Eau Claire Parks’ “rep” among other city parks across the country, but it is a real honor to receive such appreciation, as only about one percent of US parks receive CAPRA recognition.
National accreditation is valid for five years, and throughout that period Eau Claire Parks will continue to undergo checkpoints to ensure that these standards are consistently met. Yet, there is no doubt that through its prior practices, we can continue our park-tastic legacy.
