A Wisco-made post apocalyptic (Mid)western? Yes, please.
Former local, Adam Gilmore, is part of a filmmaking collaborative called Farmland Dynamite. The Milwaukee-based team consists of alums from UW-Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts. Farmland Dynamite is producing a short film called “Savageland,” and they’re asking for Kickstarter donations to keep the project alive.
“Savageland,” categorized in the “mid” western genre, is a riveting story with guns, girls, horses, and cowboys. The plot:
“After his horse is stolen and his friend is killed, Sheldon Miller goes on a path of vengeance that leads right through another man’s dangerous ambitions for a reformed society.”
The film stars Scott Bailey, Tim Higgins, Andy McCain, Russ Borchardt, and Adam Gilmore. As of now, the release date is still TBD.
Farmland Dynamite needs help funding the final stages of the film. Their goal of around $7,000 breaks down into three categories: Additional photography ($1,250), post-production services ($4,200), and Kickstarter prizes, fees, and shipping ($2,300).
