Travel Wisconsin has released a list of 12 new Wisconsin events and attractions they say you simply must experience in 2012. There's a lot to do, so you better stop procrastinating and start fun-have-i-cating. The list:

1. Yellowstone Trail 100th Anniversary
The Yellowstone Trail was the first highway to cross the US from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and 409 miles of it stretch through Wisconsin. Follow the route from Kenosha to Hudson, and check out the annual Yellowstone Heritage Days event in Hudson this May.

2. Houdini Exhibit at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art
Fun fact of the day: Houdini was raised in Appleton, Wis. He even falsely claimed it as his birth town (but really he was born in Hungary). Check out the Houdini exhibit in Madison through May 13.

3. New Castlerock Museum and Blue Door Inn in Alma
Walk through 2,000 years of weaponry and armor on display at the Castlerock Museum. Staying overnight in Alma? Check in at the new Blue Door Inn, opening the first weekend of May, and stay in restored buildings from the 1800s.

4. New Children’s Museum in Green Bay
The Green Bay Children’s Museum has a new location, new activities, and a new Lambeau Leap! Check it out when it opens this April.

5. New Waterslides in The Dells
Regular ol’ waterslides a bore for you? Then try Kalahari’s new SuperLoop slides – two of the first in the nation. Want a competitive family waterslide race instead? Check out Noah’s Ark’s new ride, Quadzilla. Yep, that's four times the zilla.

6. Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese Shop
In the style of European cheese shops, this one in Door County exclusively sells Wisconsin cheese.

7. U.S. Women’s Open at Blackwolf Run
It’s a great chance to see today’s golf-greats compete at one of the most challenging and scenic courses in North America. Another plus: fans 17 and under attend for free, as long as they bring at least one paid adult.

8. Frog Bay Tribal National Park open to the public
This August, check out the first-ever tribal park open to the public. You'll find pristine forests, sandy beaches, abundant wildlife, and great views of the Apostle Islands.

9. Wisconsin Science Festival
For a large variety of science-y events, check out the Wisconsin Science Festival in Madison this September 27-30. Go science!

10. Little Chute Windmill and Dutch Festival
If you have an affinity for Dutch culture and/or windmills (AND WHO DOESN'T?), check out Little Chute’s 1850s Dutch windmill replica, expecting completion this fall, coinciding with their annual Kermis Dutch Festival on September 15.

11. New location for O’so Brewing Co.
O’so Brewing Co. has a new location in Plover, Wis., now with a 30-barrel brew house, and a Brewing Tap House with 40 Wisconsin craft beers on tap.

12. New 20-lane tubing hill at Wilmot Mountain
This new 1,000-foot long tubing hill provides winter fun for all ages and abilities. Some perks include a kiddie hill for youngsters (or those of us who are less brave), a lift to give tubers a ride to the summit, and a new lodge currently under construction.
