Screamin’ in the morning

On the way to my summer class each morning, I am treated to what I originally thought was a bunch of old ladies strolling together, all being simultaneously startled by something over and over again.

I know – that doesn’t make any sense. Basically, I’m hearing a loud WHOO!-ing, and I think it’s a pack of students training to be UWEC campus tour-givers or maybe some sort of leadership program. At any rate, at 9am each morning, they’re out jogging around and waking themselves up before instruction. Yep, I've caught glimpses of these people.

It looks pretty funny, especially from far away. Though, to be honest, I secretly wish I had a reason get out and do some WHOO!-ing. Alas, I don’t think I can get up that early.
