Tonight at the House of Rock: Halloween, Alaska + Laarks + Meridene.

Halloween Alaska's a-gonna release their new CD "Champagne Downtown," which straddles the boundary between the electronic and the organic to create a novel rethink of what pop music can mean in a new millennium. Meridene's sound has morphed on their most recent effort from familiar banjo-toting alt-country to sportive and hard hitting indie/rock power pop. Laarks play piano-driven indie rock with electronic textures and tight drumming.
