TRAE HENRICHSMEYER

Bowling

Eau Claire Virtual School

Trae Henrichsmeyer has made a striking entrance into the bowling world, becoming the 2023 Professional Bowlers Association’s League Bowler Certification National Champion – where he scored 22 strikes in a row and a total score of 300 – and the 2023 Midwest Youth Champion.

Trae has been bowling since he was 3 years old when his mom was simply trying to find an activity to do with her kids in the winter. Trae fell in love with bowling and has brought in seven youth tour titles and competes on the All-Star Border Battle Team for both Wisconsin and Minnesota, where he was named Rookie of the Year in 2022 for both teams.

“(Bowling) is something for me to work harder at and to try and perfect,” Trae said. “It’s a constant challenge.”

In less than three years, Trae has earned over $65,000 in winnings that go towards a scholarship fund through the U.S. Bowling Congress and has traveled to Maine, Florida, Las Vegas, Michigan, and elsewhere to compete. He also recently acquired jersey and other bowling accessory sponsorships from H5G and KR Strikeforce, well-known businesses in the bowling community.

Trae switched from Eau Claire North to Eau Claire Virtual School in his senior year to allow for more traveling in his schedule, and he is also taking classes at Chippewa Valley Technical College and earning an associate degree in business management at the same time as his high school diploma.

When he’s not bowling, Trae works part-time at a hardware store and enjoys playing disc golf. After high school, Trae plans to continue his bowling career while also getting another degree in business.
