Over the years – from the State Theatre to the Pablo Center at the Confluence in Eau Claire – personal essayist and author, David Sedaris, has brought locals together for storytelling and (more than likely) lots of laughter. This October, Sedaris will return to town for a one-night evening performance at the Pablo Center (128 Graham Ave., Eau Claire).

The showcase – with presale tickets slated to launch at 10am on Wednesday, May 20 – will present Sedaris' complete collection of literary works, with teasers to his forthcoming book of essays, The Land and Its People.

Beloved for his renditions of life's trials and tribulations, short stories and personal anecdotes, Sedaris is the author of many New York Times Best Sellers books: Holidays on Ice, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, Happy-Go Lucky, Barrel Fever, among many others.

Just six years ago, in 2020, the New York Public Library voted Me Talk Pretty One Day – a collection of humorous, autobiographical essays from the year 2000 – one of the “125 most important books of the last 125 years.”

Sedaris – who, at heart, holds a love for print media – regularly writes for The New Yorker; his essays have been included in “The Best American Essays” anthology series.

In the world of live performance and theater, Sedaris and his sister, Amy Sedaris, continue to collaborate as “The Talent Family” and have written an assortment of plays which have been produced at La Mama, Lincoln Center and The Drama Department in New York.

Presale tickets will be available on May 20 ($46.47+/person) with general ticket sales beginning on May 22. Visit the JadePresents.com or the Pablo Center box office in-person (open 10am-2pm, Monday through Saturday) to learn more.
