WELCOME TO ALL. The Children's Museum of Eau Claire (126 N. Barstow St., Eau Claire) announced it will waive its usual admission fees on Friday, Jan. 23, due to the dangerously cold weather set to move through western Wisconsin.

The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire (CMEC) will be open tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23 – as it always is on Fridays – despite the frigid temperatures leading to a number of businesses closing up shop for the day.

Due to the cold, CMEC will be waiving its usual admission fees and instead offering a “Pay What You Can Day.” The museum, located at 126 N. Barstow St., Eau Claire, will be open 7am-5pm.

“Whether you’re a family without access to proper heat, experience an emergency from busted pipes or simply need to get some wild children out of the house to burn off some energy, the museum will be open and you can choose your admission price,” a recent notice from CMEC stated.

Community spaces including all outdoor ice rinks and warming shelters in Eau Claire and the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library will be closed on Jan. 23. Eau Claire Transit has also waived its fees for the day due to the cold.

Tomorrow, it’ll be a good idea to check the social medias of businesses before heading out to them, in the case they are closed.

The Children's Museum of Eau Claire (126 N. Barstow St., Eau Claire) will be open Friday, Jan. 23, from 9am-5pm as usual. Keep up with the museum on social media and learn more about the organization at www.childrensmuseumec.com.
