[UPDATE] Eau Claire’s First Wingstop to Open Nov. 12

As a growing city, Eau Claire experiences a distinctive (and potentially excessive) amount of hype around just about any national food chain’s decision to open a local location. That reaction played out around this time last year when Wingstop’s intention to open in Eau Claire surfaced online.
Then, we learned Wingstop planned to open up shop in one of the new retail strip building's at 813 W. Clairemont Ave. (That cluster of buildings also houses Panera Bread’s second Eau Claire location.) Since then, though, it’s been quiet on the Wingstop front.
However, in the past two weeks or so, online job postings indicated the opening was still a go: Wingstop posted for a general manager at the forthcoming Eau Claire location, through Indeed.
Now, according to a description on Google Maps, it appears Wingstop (821 W. Clairemont Ave., Suite A, Eau Claire) is set to open on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Wingstop specializes in – you guessed it – chicken wings, boasting more than a dozen flavors (both wet and dry), as well as chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, loaded fries options, and more.
If information from NAI Commonweal – the property management company of the Clairemont Ave. retail builds – from last fall holds true, the 1,700-square-foot Wingstop location will offer both carryout and dine-in service.
