Chippewa Valley music lovers, get ready for a night of nostalgia, upbeat jams, and – you guessed it – camping! This year's Campout In the Pines is just around the corner, happening Aug. 15-16.

The late-night lineup includes headlining band The String Cheese Incident, who will perform four sets over the weekend fest's two days alongside other musicians local and traveling artists.

“I think that's where we're gonna have the most fun," Bill Nershi, acoustic guitarist and founding member of The String Cheese Incident, said in a recent media release.

Founded in the early 1990s in Colorado, The String Cheese Incident has consistently focused on supporting grassroots and environmentally conscious performance venues over the years. Most recently, the group teamed up with Chippewa Valley native and producer Brad Cook for their eighth studio album, “Lend Me A Hand.”

The Campout In the Pines will be no exception to these values, as the additional complementary acts promise an immersive experience — rooted in community — amongst the 150-plus acres of natural forest, walkable trails, and unique stages within The Pines Music Park (5024 Crescent Ave., Eau Claire).

Attendees can anticipate a lineup of regional and national jam bands — including The Del McCoury Band, The Travelin’ McCourys (the brother-duo happens to be related to Del McCoury), Sound Tribe Sector 9, Feed The Dog, and Eau Claire's very own Silver C and DOKTOR, who will close out the festival.
