It’s true: The Gateway Drive intersection near Kohl’s, Goodwill, and Target on Eau Claire is about to get even crazier. The latest chicken chain to join the foodie fray in town is Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, set to host its official grand opening at 3631 Gateway Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

According to a media release from Raising Cane’s, the new eatery will be dishing up more than just its signature Cane’s Sauce and chicken fingers: The grand opening will feature a drawing for one year of free Raising Cane’s, a live DJ, and more.

Here are all the activities slated for the Dec. 3 grand opening:

  • “Lucky 20” drawing will award 20 customers (ages 13+) free Raising Cane’s for a year. Entries will be accepted from 8-9am with the drawing held shortly after 9am. Must be present to win.
  • Commemorative beanie and free Box Combo card will be given to the first 100 customers who purchase a combo. The card is valid on a future visit.
  • Ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.
  • Check presentation to the Eau Claire Community Humane Association.
  • Photo opportunities with Raising Cane’s-themed ice sculptures, made by a local artist.
  • Live DJ throughout the day.

While the doors will officially open at 10am, the Cane’s team is encouraging people to line up early to participate in the live drawing, snag free merch, and more. The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9am.

“The Eau Claire community has already been so welcoming, and we’re excited to serve up our famous ONE LOVE® craveable Chicken Finger meals to such an enthusiastic crowd,” said Gig McGrath, area leader of restaurants.

The Eau Claire drive-thru and drive-in location will be just the fifth Raising Cane’s in Wisconsin. The eatery will have double drive-thru lanes and will operate seven days a week: 10am-1am Sunday-Thursday, and 10am-2am Friday-Saturday.
