SUMMER MUSIC GALORE. Here is the lineup for this year's Sounds Like Summer Concert Series at Phoenix Park.

Birds chirping, a light wind blowing, and some great local music playing: That’s what sounds like summer. Volume One’s Sounds Like Summer Concert Series will be making a triumphant return this summer, with live local music performed every Thursday night from 6-8:30pm at Phoenix Park.

This year’s first concert will be Thursday, June 1, with performances by Mack John and Weapons of Brass Destruction, with opener Brian Bethke. The concerts – as always – are free to attend, but donations for the bands are appreciated. Over the course of the series, Sounds Like Summer will feature dozens of acts ranging from folk to funk, from indie rock to R&B.

And this year, because of the quirk in the calendar, there are 14 Thursdays in June, July, and August – which means that there will be 14 nights of Sounds Like Summer in 2023 rather than the usual 13!

While enjoying the sounds of sweet summer music, you can also partake in some of the Chippewa Valley’s best food trucks, including appearances by Dhimiters Gyros, Live Great Food, Davis Dogs, Dolce, Ragazzi, Ramone’s Ice Cream, Olson’s Ice Cream, The Fluff Co., and Beez Neez Cheesecake Cupcakes.

This event wouldn’t be possible without presenting partners Royal Credit Union and Festival Foods, and all of our community sponsors. The lineup for all the 2023 Sounds Like Summer shows is as follows:

June 1: Mack John + Weapons of Brass Destruction w/ Brian Bethke

June 8: Pullstring + Driftless Revelers w/ Andy Hanson
