If there’s one thing we know about the Chippewa Valley, it’s that there’s no absence of food truck fanatics. But if you’re looking to sink your teeth into something new, then Flippin Good’s got you covered!

For Josh and Larinda Hessler, the married owners of Flippin Good, nothing beats the satisfaction of serving up smiles with their tasty eats. While infamous for their special grilled chicken recipe, the menu also covers other American classics such as mac and cheese, barbeque pulled pork, and a selection of mouth-watering grilled cheese sandwiches.

Since their trailer’s debut on Oct. 1, 2022, the rise to popularity was a pleasant, yet overwhelming surprise. Their food had made a previous appearance at the Cucumber Fest in Boyceville that same year with exceptional results, but even that couldn’t help the couple prepare for things to come.

“I never thought it’d take off as good as it has,” Josh Hessler said. “We’re so busy now that we can’t even handle all the calls we’re getting.”

Despite the rush of work filling up their plate, the Hesslers work hard as a dynamic duo managing it all. According to Larinda Hessler, she takes on their scheduling, advertising, and ordering food while Josh cooks and provides maintenance to the truck.

This July, Flippin’ Good is slated to set up shop at the Barron and Dunn County Fairs in addition to their other stops throughout the spring and summer; however, the family is keen on holding off from any larger events, simply out of consideration for their customers.

“We want to make sure we can handle it,” Larinda explained. “My thing with business is under-promise but over-deliver, and so I never want to jump into something I know I can’t succeed at and deliver a good product.”

After careful planning, the Hesslers are certain the remainder of this year will be another major success for the books. With great vibes and great food, Flippin Good has a pretty ‘flipping’ bright future ahead of them.
