Chippewa Valley folk fans have a chance to welcome artist Jason Dea West back to the area in his three-night performance stint coming up in the Chippewa Valley. Calling this leg of the tour, “Down in the Valley,” West will be performing in the Spirit Room at The Mabel Tainter (205 Main St. E., Menomonie) on Thursday, March 30, at 7pm; The Plus (208 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire ) on Friday, March 31, 8pm; and at the Tomahawk Room (306 N. Bridge St., Chippewa Falls) on Saturday, April 1, at 9pm.

Sponsored by Converge Radio, this is a celebratory run of sorts before West makes his way back to perform at the Blue Ox Music Festival this June. Originally from Menomonie and now living in Arizona, this is a chance for curious concert-goers and long-time fans to enjoy his music over the three-day performance across the Valley.

His music is a mix of folk, blues, and some vintage country, and has performed in the past with Lost Dog Street Band, The Resonant Rogues, Larry And His Flask, Hot Damn Scandal, and many more. With his current band, Intuitive Compass, West has released several albums and EPs.
