STAFF NOTE: Tasty News for Culinary Connoisseurs

It’s the Season’s Final Food Truck Friday and the Return of Restaurant Week!

Nick Meyer |

It’s September. That means bountiful harvests, fresh food, and some of your final chances to gather outside while the getting’s good. With that in mind, we offer up two tasty options for your participatory pleasure:

 Restaurant Week Returns!

After two years off due to the pandemic, this month will see the return of Volume One’s highly popular Restaurant Week (Sept 16-25), taking place at nearly 30 restaurants across the Chippewa Valley. This is your chance to sample unique offerings, enjoy multi-course meals, and/or benefit from special pricing, all while actively supporting a restaurant community that’s had a rough couple of years. Not only do you get good food, but during those 10 days you can pick up a passport at any participating restaurant, and then have until Nov. 16 to get 10 stamps and earn a chance at $5,000 in prizes, including a trip for two to Cancun, Mexico, and more. See the list of menus online here (or in the guide inside our latest print issue), check out the handful of fun events, and get out there! Just remember, be kind to the staff, tip well, and have fun!

 Final Food Truck Friday!

Our final Food Truck Friday of the season is set for Sept. 9 near the confluence at Phoenix Park with a full 10 trucks on-hand slingin’ their tasty street chow for lunch and dinner. We’ve thankfully had an amazing season of great weather and fantastic food as a rotating cast of nearly 20 different local trucks and trailers have set up shop each month for thousands of hungry locals and visitors. If you haven’t made it down yet be sure to visit this time to get in on the great community vibes, and we’ll see you again next spring!
