If you are familiar with Bombas socks, you know how comfortable and well-made they are. You are also probably familiar with their claim that for every clothing item purchased, they donate the same item to help those experiencing homelessness. You might be curious about how accurate that promise is.

Eau Claire now realizes first-hand how amazing this Giving Program is. This past year, a large donation of socks was given for the homeless population in our city. While Sojourner House cannot release details about the gift, they confirmed that they received a lot of socks that are very much appreciated by the residents who are receiving them.

The New York-based company says it has has donated more than 50 million items of clothing through 3,500 Giving Partners across the United States. Their promise of “One Purchased = One Donated” has been kept. For more information on the giving program, or to see their list of FAQS which they hope help customers “address curiosities; unpack preconceived notions; and start important, sometimes uncomfortable, conversations about homelessness with friends and families,” check out the Bombas website.
