Not only is Eau Claire getting the informative and exciting HMong, Economic Advancement, Research, and Equity (HERE) Conference hosted by the HMong American Leadership and Economic Development (HALED), but HALED is also bringing an authentic taste of Southeast Asia right to our backyard.

On Sept. 15, the Little Mekong Night Market will be held in Phoenix Park and will include ethnic food trucks, vendors, entertainment, and community resources. The idea is to emulate a night market that you would find in Southeast Asia. The event was named after the Mekong River, where most HMong refugees crossed during the Vietnam War.

The event will run from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. This event is part of the HERE Conference, but it's open and free to the general public as well. This is a great way to immerse yourself in the HMong culture and to enjoy traditional food and entertainment right here in the Valley.
