L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is hosting a summer reading program from June 1-July 16 and is asking for donations of baby books for the kiddos participating.

The Friends of the L.E. Philips Memorial Public Library and the Eau Claire Morning Rotary have created a book drive with several drop-off spots around Eau Claire including Volume One’s Local Store, Unity of Eau Claire, Brewing Projekt, L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, Spirit Lutheran Church, Menomonie Market (formerly known as Just Local Food), and the Chippewa Valley Museum.

They are looking for new or gently used board or picture books geared towards kids birth to age 5 to be dropped off at these sites. You can also donate money for the project through the Friends’ website or send a check to Friend of the Library, 2725 Mall Drive, Eau Claire, WI 54701. The book drive will run April 14-May 12.

More information about the summer reading program will be coming soon.
