A local Mexican restaurant is transitioning into a new home soon, this time adding an unexpected new roast to their menu.

Silly Serrano Mexican Restaurant in downtown Eau Claire recently announced it has purchased The Living Room Coffee House and Roastery’s location at 2006 Cameron St. and will be transitioning to that site over the next six months. Owners of The Living Room announced the end of their business earlier this year, and Silly Serrano will continue their legacy by keeping their business going as Cafe Serrano, until they finish their commercial kitchen at the facility in September, at which time it will fully transition into the new primary Silly Serrano.

this is definitely a dream come true for us.

“This is definitely a dream come true for us,” Silly Serrano ownership said in a social media post. “It’s a bittersweet goodbye to the Living Room Coffee Shop (but) creates a space for a new beginning for Silly Serrano. We are ever grateful for all your support, and we look forward to many more years of offering fresh, quality food made from scratch.”

Beginning on Tuesday, March 8, Silly Serrano will take over The Living Room Coffee House and Roastery’s location and continue to serve their organically grown, fair-trade coffee under the name Cafe Serrano. From 7am-12pm daily, you’ll be able to enjoy coffee at the new location in addition to a few added food items.

Silly Serrano will continue to operate and serve its full menu at 329 Riverfront Terrace across from Phoenix Park throughout the summer prior to fully relocating and consolidating the business on Cameron Street in September.
