A local festive musical group comprising former educators from around the Chippewa Valley is slated to bring some holiday cheer to the Pablo Center stage at 5:30pm on Nov. 27 and The Metropolis at 7:30pm on Dec. 3. Their music captures the spirit of the season, including thematic elements of family gatherings, eggnog, Christmas sweaters, cookies, lutefisk, holiday travel, decorations, and includes a light-hearted and humorous look at the holiday season in Wisconsin. Featuring original music written by Warren Hermodson and arrangements by fellow band members Pat McGinnis, Bill Simon, Ken Rogers, and Steve Wells, this musical group has a folk music, jazz, mariachi, blues, and Eastern European vibe, all wrapped up in one tidy bow. Some of their toe-tappin’ tunes include “Deckin’ the Halls in Old Mexico,” “Lovely Christmas Sweater,” “North Pole Blues,” “Dysfunctional Family Christmas,” or “Get Those Reindeer Off My Roof.” Tickets to the performance are available at volumeonetickets.org/organizations/krismas-kookies, with their second album A Second Helping of Krismas Kookies available at The Local Store.
