"YOU SIT ON A THRONE OF LIES!" Buddy the Elf and Ebenezer Scrooge are central to two upcoming productions by the Eau Claire Children's Theatre.

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear,” proclaims Buddy the Elf. And that’s precisely what the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will do in their upcoming performance of Elf the Musical at the RCU Theatre at the Pablo Center at the Confluence: sing loud and spread cheer. Four performances will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, through Saturday, Nov. 13, with shows at 7:30 each evening plus a 1:30pm matinee Saturday.

In the mood for more spirited holiday performances? “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year,” pledges Ebenezer Scrooge. His Christmastime change of heart is at the center of Scrooge the Musical, which will be staged at The Oxford (1814 N. Oxford Ave.), with five performances between Thursday, Dec. 16, and Sunday, Dec. 19. Shows are at 7:30pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at 1:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
