E.C. Marathon Features Scenic Course Redesign

Sept. 26 race has a new start – and a new vibe, thanks to a new route

Get ready, get set, and race through the Eau Claire Marathon’s newly designed course, which has a new start for this year’s in-person marathon on Sunday, Sept. 26.

"As we, over the years, have developed this course, it focuses on emphasizing the beauty of the city – particularly its bridges and rivers,” the marathon website reads, “and our new start certainly embraces that!”

Starting in the Phoenix Park area, spectators can watch racers start their trek, then head down to Barstow Street to seem them vinishas they finish.

“From a runner’s standpoint, it will trigger many emotions, which are all tied to your task at hand,” the website reads. “It suggests power, but at the same time reminds us of persistence and calmness.”

Cheer on marathon runners on Sept. 26 at 7am.
