Puzzled About a New Game Hitting Eau Claire? Here’s a Clue.
join a local mystery game slated for Oct. 16
If you fondly recall watching Scooby-Doo episodes, staying up late to tell ghost stories around the campfire, or taking a flashlight to bed because you just had to finish the book to find out “whodunnit,” check out CluedUpp, The Ripper mystery event slated for Eau Claire on Oct. 16.
What is CluedUpp, you ask? That’s a great question. It’s a little bit of a mystery to us, too, but here’s what we know: This games studio began in a sleepy English village in 2016 and now hosts games in more than 58 countries. The app’s mission is to “create amazing outdoor games that connect families, friends, and colleagues in unique and innovative ways.”

On Oct. 16, teams around the area can try to solve the “Case of The Ripper.” A villain á la Jack the Ripper is causing mayhem in our city. You need to crack the case before he strikes again. Solve clues to find witnesses stationed throughout the city. Plan on taking two to four hours to wrap up the mystery.
Not only will you have a fun-filled day with your best friends, but you can earn badges for fastest team, best fancy dress, best team photo, best team name, best young detective, and best K-9 (canine) member of the team.
Who’s organizing it locally? Now that’s the mystery within a mystery. If you know anything more, we’d love to know! Shoot us a message at editorial@volumeone.org.
To sign up for this event, check out their website at cluedupp.com. The cost is $51 for a six-person team. Twelve tickets are left!
