CHECKING IN WITH THE HOTTEST STUFF THIS SUMMER – THE FOOD. The next Food Truck Friday is slated for Friday, Aug. 6.

HAVE YOU BEEN OUT THERE THIS SUMMER?! It’s almost like nothing ever happened. (Is that good or bad?) Regardless, this community has burst back to life in some big ways, including for us here at Volume One. In fact, here’s the rundown of what’s going on with us in our neck of the woods …

See Chalkfest Art: A ton of amazing artists registered for this year’s virtual Chalkfest and voting is now up at VolumeOne.org/chalkfest! The live and in-person edition on the UW-Eau Claire campus will be back in 2022, but due to the timing of the event planning, the university’s protocols, and their staffing during the pandemic, there was one more opportunity for artists to chalk anywhere they wanted across the Chippewa Valley this year. Thanks to Markquart Toyota for their support. Log on and vote for your favorites now!

We’re Hiring: Excitement is building and Volume One’s big hiring march continues, as we now gear up to add new and evolved key roles in Marketing, Community Engagement, Editorial, and Video. Learn lots more about the company, the culture, the staff, and get on the list for job details at VolumeOne.org/careers.

Food Truck Friday: There are two more Food Truck Fridays on the agenda this year – Aug. 6 and Sept. 3 – so you still have a chance to get out and enjoy the best of our local mobile food scene. Eight to 10 trucks and carts are on hand each week to satiate your hunger for serious street chow. Find out which ones are when at VolumeOne.org/foodtruckfriday.

Thursday Night Concerts: The weekly weather was something of a challenge for a bit, but the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series is now up and firing on all cylinders with six more shows to go between now and season’s end. Take a peek at the line-ups and pick your nights to come hang out with us by the river in Phoenix Park. Find all the details at VolumeOne.org/concerts.

Events & Happenings: If you haven’t checked out a local event calendar lately – like perhaps the best one in town starting on page 73 – then now is definitely the time to do it. Chippewa Valley events are back in a big way and are officially running at full tilt. Our calendars are now busting at the seams with things to do to get out and enjoy a real Wisconsin summer. It’s always up-to-date with the latest at VolumeOne.org/events.
