A new downtown eatery aims to bring fresh Teriyaki chicken that tastes “like a million bucks” to the Chippewa Valley community.

Teriyaki Madness – a Japanese-inspired fast food franchise based out of Seattle – has found a new home in downtown Eau Claire at 420 S. Barstow St. Their menu will feature delicious eats including spicy chicken, steak teriyaki, Yakisoba noodles, stir-fry veggies, chicken eggrolls, rice bowls, and a slew of vegetarian options. The best part is: you can customize your order to your liking.

“I just tried it for the first time a few weeks ago,” said JCAP’s Director of Business Development Hunter Hoversholm, who is helping to develop the property, “and it’s actually very, very good. Nothing’s ever frozen. It’s all fresh chicken, fresh vegetables.”

Asian fast-food restaurants have skyrocketed in popularity, as since 1999, they’ve grown by nearly 500%, according to Teriyaki Madness’ website. This new eatery aims to open as soon as early September, and will feature take-out and delivery-style service.
