Local art will add a splash of color to a beloved bluegrass gathering later this summer: The Blue Ox Music Festival has put out an open call for installation artists.
If you or someone you know has a beautiful or engaging project you’d like to share with the music community, act by June 30 for a chance to be displayed at Pine Music Park in Eau Claire at the Blue Ox Music Festival from Aug. 19-21.
In addition to your work being showcased at the festival, you’ll also receive two (2) three-day passes! Who could say no to free stuff?!
Simply upload a few images of your work, add a dash of information about your installation plans, throw in a few extra tidbits at the submission form found here, and voila! The rest is up to fate.
All chosen applicants will receive compensation (between $50-600) toward the cost and time of creating the installation project. Artwork installations will be placed in various parts of the festival grounds, including performance areas, walkways, and campgrounds.
Artists should plan to dismantle their installation on Aug. 22 if they’d like to keep their work. This project is sponsored by Visit Eau Claire.
