Craving Something New: Sweet Driver Chocolates Expands to Coffee, Gelato Shop
local chocolate shop moves into former Skill Shot Coffee location in Artisan Forge Studios
If you’ve been craving something sweet amid pandemic times, you’re not alone.
Sweet Driver Chocolates – a sweets shop based out of Artisan Forge Studios – has seen a 120% sales increase in recent years, with a big boom amid the pandemic to meet rising demand for sea salt caramels, cranberry amarettos, hazelnut gianduja with feuilletine, maple cream truffles, and basically all things chocolate.
“We keep taking suites in the building and outgrowing them,” said head of operations and chocolatier Rebecca Flynn, who said the shop had moved to its fourth suite when the perfect opportunity presented itself: an expansion into the former Skill Shot Coffee space on the first floor of Artisan Forge Studios.
We're so happy to be in this building. We wanted to be able to stay here, and now we can.

This exciting new location will allow Flynn to not only offer her signature chocolates but also creative gelato flavors and premier Anodyne Coffee, based in Milwaukee. She also has hired a baking manager and baristas to bring the shop fully to life.
“We are so happy to be in this building,” Flynn said. “We wanted to be able to stay here, and now we can.”
The new cafe location – which Flynn aims to open in early June – will feature fresh-made chocolates made from quality couverture chocolate with local organically grown herbs, butter, and fruits; gelato (with a half dozen unique flavors coconut cream and blood orange, with sorbettos and dairy-free options) using fresh fruit purees from France; coffees, lattes, mochas, specialty drinks, and smoothies; and will showcase a rotating gallery space featuring local artists.
The cafe space will also have compostable gelato containers, spoons, and bags.
